NEW TODAY! MOKUME GANE TECHNIQUE CANE "KILIA 8" BEADED NECKLACE

Yay! Just finished listing this brand new wearable art piece that I created using the Mokume Gane Technique. It is an ancient Japanese Metalworking technique using layers and layers of metal to create a wood grain finish. I will be writing an article with a corresponding video in my HeArtfullyCreating.blogspot.com blog in the near future about this awesome technique in polymer clay.

A Bergie Creation is an Etsy shop and can only permit five spaces for photos. I wanted to share many more photos here because there are so many variations in design and form. Take a look here for more photos of my new "KILIA  8" jewellery piece. More will come in the future.

YAY, NEW MINI COLLECTION EARRINGS IN GERMAN SILVER - NOW FOR SALE!

Remember the sneak peek? Well I was able to get the two new MINI collection earrings in 18 gauge German Nickel Silver, also called German Silver listed in my shop just now! These small hoops are a new member added to my number one best sellers called "the MINI Cllection." Over 1000 pairs have been sold worldwide. This metal is my favourite because I love square wire and I really like German Silver because it doesn't tarnish and it has more of a stainless steel look.

Sneak Peek! New German Silver Square Wire, MINI Collection Earrings!

Sneak Peek - Pieces In Process

This winter I have been excited working on new polymer clay designs to make new handmade jewelry pieces for my shop this Spring and Summer.
I am in process and not done yet, but wanted to share what I have been doing. Polymer clay is so beautiful. I love the versatility and the intense colours. Being a life time visual artist, bold, vivid colour is what I love.
This is a sneak peek at a few of my new designs. At present, I am working on an article about the mecum game technique for my HeArtfully Creating blog. These two blogs intertwine because this one, A Bergie Creation is all about my Etsy shop, featuring my jewelry pieces for sale and HeArtfully Creating is all about creativity, the process that I use to make the pieces I make for my shop.
Sanded down a few fingers as
i work on polishing my beads!
So here are a few pics of my new pieces. My fingers are recovering from sanding down the skin on my fingers, to buff and polish the beads. It is far worth the literal blood, sweat and tears. Tears of joy!

Happy Customers, Make Me Happy...

"Painting" with polymer clay has been a newly acquired skill that I have fallen in love with as anyone would know if they read my HeArtfully Creating blog about creativity. As a visual artist, I always painted with acrylics, coloured pencils, and such. Once I was blessed with being able to work in this excellent, colourful bold medium, it opened up a world that instantly appealed to my past desire to  work in three dimensions.

My Etsy Shop, A Bergie  Creation, has been open since 2008 and it wasn't until 2015, when I began adding handmade jewelry made from polymer clay. So it goes without saying, how thrilled I am to have sold two out of the three, multi-strand necklaces I had/have for sale in my shop. The beads are hand rolled (no special devices to help) and designed by me. There are a few accent beads not made by me, but the majority are polymer clay creations.

I am even more thrilled to have a happy customer let me know that the necklace looked just as great in real life as it did in the photos posted in my Etsy Shop.  As an artist and shop owner, it is always inspiring and encouraging to receive photos and feedback about your work. After all, artists are often, their own worst critics. I wanted to share the beautiful photo they took for me. As a bonus, it is even more exciting to have my pieces sold overseas. I get to say that my handmade jewelry is scattered around the world and pretty much every state in the USA and most of my homeland, Canada. Way cool!
More to Come...
I have been diligently working on new bead designs so I can create new line of spring and summer jewelry pieces. It has been a wonderful way to spend winter. Knowing people like your pieces definitely helps inspiring me to pursue this beautiful medium. Here are a couple of quick photos showing a wee bit of the process to creating my polymer clay jewelry.

Winteryness = Sparkle and Glitz

Hi there! Where we live, we haven't been getting much of anything that feels wintery or winteresque. Very unusual for up in Northwestern Ontario. On that note, I hand selected some items in my shop (click here) and the titles above each piece for direct links ) that make me think of this time of the year.
Enjoy and feel free to comment or ask questions below.
