A Bergie Creation: Inside My Studio - A Closer Look At "Reveal" - Necklace

Reveal

Yay, I just realized that my Etsy shop, A Bergie Creation, has been open for ten years (officially in October), 2008-2018! Just had to share that :o)

If you follow my You Tube Channel, my ABC or HeArtfully Creating blogs, you will already know
how much I love working in polymer Clay and creating tube beads! Needless to say, I built up quite a collection before turning them into beautiful pieces of jewellery.
(Recently, I have been hooked on making faux stained glass window clingies.)

Back to tube beads...today I listed one of my favourite tube bead necklaces called, "Reveal," so far. I love the jewel
tones of Jade or Emerald Green, Cobalt Blues That turn into royal Tanzanite blue/Violet. There is almost a tanzanite hue as well, ever see tanzanite? Absolutely stunning blue/violet and absolutely a stone I will never own. But hey, the internet makes gem gazing possible thanks to the gorgeous digital photos, making even the tiniest of stones look huge!

The yarn that inspired this necklace is super soft and fuzzy. I bought the yarn because I loved the colour combination along with how the strands were structured, looking like soft cords for making multi strand necklaces.

I wanted to share more photos in a short "In My Studio - A
Closer Look," video. So enjoy soaking in these jewelled hues. It was fun creating the beads and then working with such soft and gorgeous yarn!

And thank you to ten years of customer support, making my  shop a possibility!

Been A While...Some New Pieces To Come!

Sorry, it has been a while since posting anything new. My computer broke down and that meant transition time. Learning to use a laptop for me has been trying. But, here I am finally. Just wanted to start by sharing the link to the beautiful multi strand polymer clay and glass bead necklace. It was featured as a Sneak Peek a way back and as life happened, computer croaked, I never got to post that actual listing in my Etsy Shop. So here it is (just click here to go there!)

I am excited to dive back into sharing and listing some new pieces that I have  been working on over these past months. Make sure to subscribe if you want to be the first to see anything new at A Bergie Creation.

SATURDAY SNEAK PEEK: Turquoise. Blues. And Greens. Polymer Clay, Gemstone, and Glass Multi strand Necklace

My computer has been misbehaving so I haven't been able to post items lately. But by the Grace of God it is working at this moment :o) So here is a sneek peek at a new multi strand necklace that I am about to list in my shop. It is  gorgeous peacock palette. Turquoises, blues, and greens with golden shimmer and hues. As well, it was designed using primarily all handmade polymer clay beads, by me of course :o) And to accent it, I created handmade golden with glitter bead cones (about 50mm long by about 20mm across)  on the ends, where the strands are connected in a cluster. As well, turquoise bead nuggets about 3mm-4mm were interspersed along with small glass seed and cube beads that range from 2mm-3mm in size. I love this piece. A few small (about 4mm up to 8mm in length)  polymer leaf beads were added for more interest as well. A glossy glaze was applied to the surface.
Depending on the lighting, the beads have a shimmer in some areas and other areas are matt with the glossy glaze.

All five strands were suspended on gold tone small and large oval link chain and a beautiful toggle clasp. It can be resized if the customer asks.
Here is Frieda now listed here.

Here are some detailed photos, more to come as my computer allows me to upload them.

Happy Customers, Make Me Happy...

"Painting" with polymer clay has been a newly acquired skill that I have fallen in love with as anyone would know if they read my HeArtfully Creating blog about creativity. As a visual artist, I always painted with acrylics, coloured pencils, and such. Once I was blessed with being able to work in this excellent, colourful bold medium, it opened up a world that instantly appealed to my past desire to  work in three dimensions.

My Etsy Shop, A Bergie  Creation, has been open since 2008 and it wasn't until 2015, when I began adding handmade jewelry made from polymer clay. So it goes without saying, how thrilled I am to have sold two out of the three, multi-strand necklaces I had/have for sale in my shop. The beads are hand rolled (no special devices to help) and designed by me. There are a few accent beads not made by me, but the majority are polymer clay creations.

I am even more thrilled to have a happy customer let me know that the necklace looked just as great in real life as it did in the photos posted in my Etsy Shop.  As an artist and shop owner, it is always inspiring and encouraging to receive photos and feedback about your work. After all, artists are often, their own worst critics. I wanted to share the beautiful photo they took for me. As a bonus, it is even more exciting to have my pieces sold overseas. I get to say that my handmade jewelry is scattered around the world and pretty much every state in the USA and most of my homeland, Canada. Way cool!
More to Come...
I have been diligently working on new bead designs so I can create new line of spring and summer jewelry pieces. It has been a wonderful way to spend winter. Knowing people like your pieces definitely helps inspiring me to pursue this beautiful medium. Here are a couple of quick photos showing a wee bit of the process to creating my polymer clay jewelry.
